This 1967 Ford Mustang convertible was acquired by the seller’s late grandfather in 1999, reportedly from its previous owner of 20 years, and it was subsequently disassembled as part of a refurbishment project that saw the car being painted blue and fitted with a white soft top in 2005. It has remained stored since then. It is equipped with a non-running 289ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and interior and exterior trim along with replacement parts accompany the car. This Mustang convertible is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of its current owner with the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, and a clean Indiana title in the name of the seller’s grandfather’s estate.
The car was refinished in blue and the white convertible soft top was replaced in 2005.
The 14″ steel wheels are mounted with Delta Dimension IV tires measuring 205/75. Drums are equipped at each corner.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 66k miles, approximately 1k of which were added prior to the car being disassembled.
The 289ci Challenger V8 featured a two-barrel carburetor when new, and it was factory rated at 200 horsepower.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
Removed parts and replacement parts are included in the sale and can be viewed in detail in the gallery.
The car is being offered by the seller on behalf of an estate.
