This 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa convertible was acquired by the current owner in 2015 and was subsequently refurbished. Work consisted of rebuilding the engine, repainting the car, fitting a quick-ratio steering box and Camaro-style seats, re-trimming the interior, and replacing the bumpers, exterior trim, top latches, door handles, emblems, springs, bushings, tie rods, and idler arms. Finished in Aztec Bronze over Fawn vinyl upholstery the car is powered by a rear-mounted 164ci Turbo-Air flat-six paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a power-operated black convertible soft top, 15″ American Racing Torq Thrust 2 wheels, a heater, and a windshield defroster. This Corvair Corsa convertible is now offered in Canada on dealer consignment with a Vintage Vehicle Services document, service records, and an Ontario registration.
The car was originally finished in Cameo Beige (V) and was repainted in Aztec Bronze (M) circa 2020. Rust repairs were performed during the refurbishment and the bumpers, exterior trim, top latches, door handles, and emblems are said to have been replaced. The 15″ American Racing Torq Thrust 2 wheels are mounted with staggered General Altimax RT43 tires.
