This 1952 Jaguar XK120 roadster was completed on April 17, 1952 and distributed in the US via Max Hoffman of New York City. The car was repainted red during a refurbishment in the late 1990s, and it is powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a tan soft top with removable side curtains, tan leather upholstery, dual SU carburetors, Smiths instrumentation, rear wheel skirts, and body-color 16” steel wheels with hubcaps. Work before the car was previously listed on BaT in August 2023 consisted of replacing the brake hoses, rear wheel cylinders, speedometer cable, radiator hoses, voltage regulator, and fuel level sending unit. This XK120 is now offered in California with a Jaguar Heritage Production Record Trace certificate, a tool roll, car cover, reproduction owner’s manual, shop manual, binder of documentation, and a clean Arizona title.

The body was finished from the factory in Pastel Green and repainted its current shade of red in the late 1990s. Details include a tan soft top with removable side curtains, rear wheel skirts, and a polished single exhaust outlet.

Body-color 16” steel wheels wear painted hubcaps and are mounted with 185-series Pirelli Cinturato tires. A matching spare is found in the rear storage area. Braking is via drums at all four corners. Work in 2023 included replacement of the front brake hoses and rear wheel cylinders.

Originally trimmed in Suede Green, the cabin now houses tan leather seats with color-coordinated door panels and beige carpets. Appointments include a passenger-side grab handle, door map pockets, and a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror.

A four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a central instrument panel housing Smiths instrumentation that includes a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock, a 140-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 1,500 miles, though total mileage is unknown. The fuel level sending unit, fuel gauge, and speedometer cable were replaced in 2023.

The 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six is equipped with dual SU carburetors. A 12-volt battery has been installed, and work in June 2023 included repairing a coolant leak, changing the coolant and differential fluid, and replacing the radiator hoses, voltage regulator, and carburetor fuel bowl gasket. The seller notes oil leaks.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

A Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate is included in the sale along with a tool roll, car cover, reproduction owner’s manual, shop manual, and a binder of documentation.
