This 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera cabriolet was specified in Viola Metallic over Classic Grey leather, and it was optioned with the Motor Sound Package, a limited-slip differential, an Automatic Braking Differential (ABD), 18″ hollow-spoke “Technology” wheels, and supple leather seat inserts. Power comes from a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle, and equipment includes H&R coilover suspension, an FD Sport muffler, a gray soft top, a Kenwood head unit, cruise control, and air conditioning. The clutch assembly and the flywheel along with various seals and gaskets were replaced in 2022. This 993 Carrera cabriolet shows 51k miles, and it is now offered by the selling dealer with the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, an air compressor, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.
The car is finished in Viola Metallic (L39G) and features a power-retractable gray soft top as well as headlight washers, fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a “basket handle” fixed rear spoiler with an integrated third brake light, and stainless-steel exhaust outlets. The deck lid struts were replaced in June 2022, rock guards were installed in October 2022, and the convertible top cables were replaced in September 2023. The paint on the right-rear quarter panel and the passenger door shows signs of blending. Photos depicting paint-meter readings are provided in the gallery. There are scrapes on the underside of the front valance and a blemish on the left door.
The 18″ hollow-spoke “Technology” wheels are mounted with Kumho Ectsa PS31 tires that were installed in May 2022. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The car was factory equipped with an Automatic Braking Differential, and it has been fitted with H&R coilover suspension. Blemishes on the wheels are shown in detail in the gallery. The brake fluid has been changed in preparation for the sale.
The cabin features seating surfaces trimmed in Classic Grey leather, which extends to the dashboard and door panels. The shifter and the handbrake lever feature Dark Rootwood trim, and additional interior details include supple leather seat inserts, a Kenwood head unit, cruise control, air conditioning, and stainless-steel sill plates. The driver’s window actuator was replaced in July 2022.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 51k miles. The fuel gauge was repaired in May 2022.
The air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six features a VarioRam intake system and was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. The car is equipped with the optional Motor Sound Package, which added a revised intake and mufflers. The timing cover and chain cover gaskets and seals were replaced in May 2022, a chain housing seal was replaced in May 2022, the intake manifold gaskets were replaced in July 2022, the central relay board was replaced in August 2022, drive belts were replaced in February 2023, and an oil change and compression and leakdown tests were performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. An FD Sport muffler was installed in May 2022, and the clutch assembly, flywheel, and the rear main seal were replaced concurrently. The clutch switch was replaced in September 2022. The transmission fluid was changed in preparation for the sale.
