This 1955 Ford Thunderbird is said to have been purchased by the current owner from a Nebraska-located museum around 2015. The car is powered by a 292ci V8 paired with a three-speed Fordomatic automatic transmission, and it is refinished in yellow over yellow and black. Equipment includes a black soft top, chrome bumpers, an AM radio, and parking lights. This Thunderbird is now offered on dealer consignment with a removable hard top and a Kansas title.

The car was originally finished in Snowshoe White (E), and it was repainted yellow under previous ownership. Close-up photos are shown in the gallery below. Features include a black soft top, a “checkered flags” hood emblem, chrome bumpers, solid front fenders, auxiliary parking lights, a fixed antenna, and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear bumperettes. The windshield wipers do not work properly. A white-finished removable hardtop with porthole windows is included in the sale, though it has paint blemishes and the seller recommends that it not be placed on the car in its current condition.

The 14″ steel wheels are mounted with G7 8-15 Le Mans Tubeless tires. Stopping power is supplied by drum brakes at each corner.

The bench seat is reupholstered in yellow and black and is accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. Equipment includes a floor-mounted shifter, manual windows, an AM radio, and a locking glovebox. The power-adjustable seat does not work moving forward.

The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames an Astra Dial instrument cluster housing a sweeping 150-mph speedometer, a 5k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 93k miles.

The P-code 292ci Y-block V8 is topped with a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 198 horsepower. The battery was replaced in August 2024.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a Fordomatic three-speed automatic transmission.
