This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was refinished in black with a black convertible top during a refurbishment completed in 2011 according to the seller, who purchased the car in 2021. Power is provided by a a 327ci V8, and the car is one of a reported 434 Corvettes for the model year built with a three-speed manual transmission. Features include a Positraction differential, a Black convertible soft top, 15″ cast aluminum knock-off wheels, redline tires, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, an AM/FM radio, retractable headlights, and dual exhaust tips. The fiberglass body was refinished in its factory black during the refurbishment completed in 2011. The 15″ cast aluminum knock-off wheels are mounted with reproduction Firestone redline tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
