This 1967 Datsun 1600 roadster was purchased by the seller in 2023, reportedly from its first owner. Subsequent work involved refreshing the car in black, installing a tan soft top, and re-trimming the interior in tan vinyl. Power is provided by a 1.6-liter R16 inline-four linked to a four-speed manual transmission, and the dual carburetors were overhauled under current ownership. Additional equipment includes a tan top boot, bright trim and bumpers, 14″ steel wheels with covers, front disc brakes, and bucket seats. This SPL311 roadster is now offered with a California title in the seller’s name.

Work reported following the seller’s acquisition includes refreshing the car in black, fitting a replacement tan soft top and top boot, and polishing the grille, bumpers, and light bezels. There is a crack in the rear bumper.

Black 14″ steel wheels wear covers and are mounted with mixed tires, some of which have cracks in the sidewalls. The brake master cylinder was replaced and the front calipers and rear cylinders were rebuilt in 2024, per the seller.

The cabin houses bucket seats that were reupholstered under current ownership in tan vinyl with textured inserts, and the color-coordinated door panels and cargo shelf were also recovered. Replacement carpets were fitted, and the center console was refurbished.  The push-button radio does not work, and there are cracks in the dashpad.

The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. An analog clock and readouts for amperage and fuel level are center-mounted on the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 61k miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership.

The 1.6-liter R16 inline-four features dual side-draft carburetors, which the seller states were rebuilt in preparation for the sale. The fuel lines and filter were also replaced at that time.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, and the clutch master cylinder is said to have been replaced following the seller’s acquisition.

The chassis plate lists serial numbers and factory engine specifications.

The current California title carries a “Title Only” notation.
