This replica of a Porsche 356 Speedster was built by Vintage Speedsters of Hawaiian Gardens, California, under previous ownership and acquired by the seller on BaT in April 2022. It is finished in green with over tan leather upholstery and powered by an air-cooled 1,915cc flat-four paired with a four-speed maual transaxle. Equipment includes 15″ chrome steel wheels, front disc brakes, a dual Kadron-style carburetor kit, a Euro two-tip exhaust, and a beige convertible soft top, boot, and side curtains in addition to CruZin side windows, headlight stone guards, teardrop taillights, Coco mats, and an Alpine CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. This 356 Speedster replica is now offered with Texas title in the seller’s name listing it as a 1968 Volkswagen.

The fiberglass body is finished in green and fitted over a modified Volkswagen Beetle chassis. Exterior details include a beige convertible soft top, boot cover, and side curtains as well as CruZin side windows, headlight stone guards, dual side-view mirrors, gold-finished Porsche 1600 Super badging, teardrop taillights, a reproduction Reutter badge on the right fender, and body-color bumpers with impact strips. A suitcase and wooden tennis rackets are secured to the rear luggage rack with leather straps.

Chrome 15″ steel wheels wear matching hubcaps and are mounted with 165-series Ultra Metric tires. The car is reportedly fitted with adjustable rear spring plates, and stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.

The Speedster-style seats are trimmed in tan leather upholstery that extends to the shifter and parking brake boots, dashboard pad, door panels, and rear parcel shelf. Oatmeal square-weave carpets are protected by Natural Herringbone Coco mats, and additional interior details include a Vintage Speed shifter, lap belts, an adjustable height rearview mirror, and an Alpine CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity.

The wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel wears a Porsche crest horn button and frames a central tachometer flanked by a 130-mph speedometer and a combination gauge monitoring engine temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 8k miles.
