This 2000 Mercedes-Benz SL500 is finished in black over black Nappa leather upholstery and is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Features include the Sport Package, the AMG Styling Package, a removable hardtop, a black soft top, 18″ five-spoke AMG wheels, xenon headlights, fog lights, heated power-adjustable seats, a cassette stereo, a Bose sound system, and automatic climate control. The car was purchased by the seller in 2022 following registration history in North Carolina, Ohio, and New Jersey. This R129 is offered with manufacturer’s literature, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Black (040) and features a matching removable hardtop as well as a black soft top. Additional exterior equipment includes xenon headlights, fog lights, fender air vents, a rear spoiler, and the AMG Styling Package, which added revised bumper covers and aerodynamic side skirts. The seller states that the soft-top hydraulic cylinders were replaced under current ownership. Close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.

Chrome 18″ five-spoke AMG wheels are mounted with Hankook V12 Evo 2 tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.

The cabin features heated power-adjustable seats upholstered in black Nappa leather along with burl wood accents on the doors and center stack. Amenities include a deployable roll bar, seat position memory, a cassette stereo, a Bose sound system, a heated rear hardtop window, cruise control, and automatic climate control.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, fuel economy, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 65k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership. A mileage inconsistency is noted in a June 2009 entry on the Carfax report, though it notes that it may be the result of a clerical error. Total mileage is unknown.

The 5.0-liter M113 V8 was factory-rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission.

The Carfax report lists the aforementioned mileage inconsistency.
