This 1963 Lincoln Continental convertible was purchased by the seller and imported from Canada in 2010, and subsequent refurbishment work has included repairing the convertible top mechanism, work on the engine, transmission and brakes, and repainting the body in black. Power is provided by a 430ci V8 paired with a dual-range three-speed automatic transmission, and the car is equipped with black leather upholstery as well as power-assisted steering and brakes, an AM/FM radio, power windows, and a dual exhaust system. This Continental convertible is now offered with service records and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.

The car was finished from the factory in Burgundy Frost and was refinished in black at Maaco in 2020. Exterior details include quad headlights, rear-hinged rear doors, a driver-side mirror, a retractable antenna, a Lincoln hood ornament, and chrome bumpers and trim. Under previous ownership, the black convertible top was replaced and the top mechanism was repaired, and snaps were installed for a tonneau cover, though the tonneau cover is missing.

The 15″ steel wheels feature polished covers and are mounted with 235/75 Champiro GT Radial tires. Power steering was standard, and braking is provided by power-assisted front and rear drums.

The cabin houses bench seating that is said to have been reupholstered in black synthetic leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include an AM/FM radio and power windows. The power-adjustable driver’s seat, passenger vent window, and power locks do not work. The rear cigarette lighters are missing, and the car was not optioned with seat belts. Air conditioning components remain, but the system does not work.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 94k miles, approximately 750 of which were added under current ownership.

The 430ci V8 was factory equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 320 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a dual-range three-speed automatic transmission and a rear axle with 2.89:1 gearing. The seller notes the exhaust system was partially replaced under current ownership and is missing two rear resonators.

The warranty number indicates the car is a 1963 Continental four-door convertible built in Wixom, Michigan, and powered by a 430ci V8. Further decoding the door tag reveals the following information:

  • Body: 74A – Continental four-door convertible
