This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was purchased by the seller in 2019, reportedly from a long-term owner who commissioned a repaint from maroon to the current white in the 1970s. Power is provided by a 327ci V8, and a five-speed manual transmission swap was completed in 2023. Additional equipment includes a Positraction differential, a body-color removable hardtop, a black convertible soft top, 15″ steel wheels, goldline tires, four-wheel disc brakes, black vinyl upholstery, an AM/FM radio, and retractable headlights. This C2 Corvette convertible is now offered with an owner’s manual and a clean Washington title in the seller’s name.

The fiberglass body was delivered from the factory in maroon and was reportedly refinished in white in the 1970s. Equipment includes a body-color removable hardtop, a black convertible soft top, flip-up headlights, chrome bumpers, Soft Ray tinted glass, and a driver-side mirror. Paint scratches and chips are pictured in the gallery along with pitting and wear on the chrome bumpers and emblems.

The 15″ steel wheels wear faux-knock-off covers and are mounted with mixed-brand 205/75 front and 215/70 rear goldline radial tires. The C2 Corvette introduced a fully independent suspension arrangement, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs.

The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and faded carpets. Amenities include a heater, an AM/FM radio, and lap belts. The clock does not work.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 78k miles, approximately 3,500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 327ci V8 is equipped with an aftermarket four-barrel carburetor, and the finned valve covers have been painted orange.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission that was installed in 2023 and is linked to a Positraction differential.
