This 1955 Ford Thunderbird is powered by a 292ci V8 paired with a three-speed Fordomatic automatic transmission, and it is finished in white over turquoise and white pleated vinyl. Equipment includes a removable hardtop, an AM radio, chrome bumpers, and parking lights. The car was donated to the Petersen Automotive Museum Foundation in 2012, and the carburetor was cleaned and the oil was changed in May 2024. Now showing 92k miles, this Thunderbird is now offered in Los Angeles, California at no reserve with a clean California title.

The car was ordered in Showshoe White (E) and has a matching removable hardtop. “Checkered flags” emblems adorn the hood and fuel filler, and the car has rear fender skirts and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear bumperettes. The paint has signs of aging and the seller notes there is corrosion on the underside of body panels and in the door sills, and the car does not have a soft top.

The simulated wire-wheel covers and chrome dog-dish hubcaps are mounted with whitewall tires. Stopping power is supplied by drum brakes at each corner.

The bench seat is upholstered in turquoise and white pleated vinyl and is accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. Equipment includes an AM radio, a floor-mounted shifter, manual windows, and a locking glovebox.

The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames an Astra Dial instrument cluster housing a sweeping 150-mph speedometer, a 5k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer indicates 92k miles.

The P-code 292ci Y-block V8 is topped with a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 198 horsepower. The carburetor was cleaned and the oil was changed in May 2024.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Fordomatic three-speed automatic transmission.

The car is currently registered as Planned Nonoperation in the state of California.
