This 1966 Ford Mustang convertible has remained in the seller’s family for approximately four decades and is finished in Emberglo over Emberglo and Parchment vinyl upholstery. Power is provided by a replacement 200ci inline-six backed by a three-speed automatic transmission, and the car is equipped with a white soft top, 14″ steel wheels, chrome bumpers, front bucket seats, an AM radio, and a cabin heater. Acquired by the seller in 2014, this Mustang convertible is now offered with a clean Idaho title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Emberglo and equipped with a power-retractable white soft top, chrome bumpers, and rocker panel molding. Exterior blemishes can be seen in the gallery below.

Steel 14″ wheels wear covers and are mounted with 195/75 Goodyear tires. Braking is handled by front and rear drums.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in Emberglo and Parchment vinyl. Appointments include an AM radio, a cabin heater, a center console, and woodgrain trim.

Instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 13k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 200ci inline-six was installed in 1985, and the fuel pump was replaced in 2006.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a C4 three-speed automatic transmission and a rear axle with 2.83:1 gears.

The warranty number is consistent with a 1966 Mustang convertible that was built in Dearborn, Michigan, and equipped with a 200ci inline-six. Decoding the trim tag reveals the following information:

  • Body 76B – Convertible with luxury interior
  • Color V – Emberglo paint
  • Trim 64 – Emberglo and Parchment vinyl
  • Date 23K – 23rd day of October build date
  • DSO 45 – Davenport district sales office
  • Axle 2 – 2.83:1 conventional rear axle ratio
  • Transmission 6 – C4 automatic transmission
