The Series 1 was designed from scratch by Shelby American and was manufactured at the company’s facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The aluminum chassis is paired with carbon-fiber and fiberglass laminate bodywork, which is finished in Centennial Silver Metallic with painted blue stripes on this example. Exterior equipment includes a black soft top in addition to front fog lamps, a front-hinged heat extractor hood, fender vents, heated side-view mirrors, a Le Mans-style fuel filler, and dual exhaust outlets.

The car rides on 18″ multi-piece alloy wheels and features pushrod suspension with inboard-mounted coilovers and remote reservoir dampers. Braking is provided by Shelby-branded four-piston calipers mounted over vented discs at all four corners.

The twin Cerullo bucket seats are upholstered in two-tone leather and feature Carroll Shelby signatures embroidered on the backrests. Additional interior appointments include a carbon-fiber shift knob, a CD/cassette stereo, a Monsoon sound system, and air conditioning. A Carroll Shelby signature is located on the dashboard.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames a Shelby-branded instrument panel housing a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 4,100 miles.

A serialized plaque showing serial number CSX 5053 is affixed to the dash.

The Oldsmobile-sourced 4.0-liter Aurora L47 V8 features carbon-fiber covers and intake tubing, Borla stainless-steel headers and twin mufflers, and a Shelby-specific engine management system and camshafts. The engine was factory rated at 320 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox that was made by RBT with ZF components.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage.
