The Series 1 was designed from scratch by Shelby American and was manufactured at the company’s facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Oldsmobile-sourced 4.0-liter Aurora L47 V8 features carbon-fiber covers and intake tubing, Borla stainless-steel headers and twin mufflers, and a Shelby-specific engine management system and camshafts. The engine was factory rated at 320 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox that was made by RBT with ZF components.
