This Porsche 356 replica was reportedly assembled by Vintage Speedsters of Hawaiian Gardens, California, circa 2014 and was acquired in 2017 by the seller, who added approximately 15k of its 20k miles shown. It is powered by an air-cooled 1,915cc flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 15″ wide-five alloy wheels, front disc brakes, aluminum drum covers, dual EMPI carburetors, a 009-style distributor, and a sidewinder-style center-exit exhaust system with heater boxes in addition to a wood-rimmed steering wheel, Coco mats, a wind deflector, Crow Enterprizes lap belts, and a hidden Bluetooth stereo system. This 356 replica is now offered with service records and a clean California title in the seller’s name describing it as a 1963 SPCN.

The fiberglass body is mounted over a modified Volkswagen Beetle chassis and is finished in Mexico Blue with black #9 racing numbers and graphics. Exterior details include a black soft top and side curtains leather hood straps, driving lights, mesh headlight grilles, gold-finished Porsche and Carrera badging, Spyder-style mirrors, a reproduction Reutter badge on the right fender, a GT-style louvered decklid, and beehive taillights. An additional pair of glass side windows are included in the sale. Paint chips are present on the front end.

Wide-five 15×5.5″ alloy wheels are mounted with 185/65 Pirelli P4 tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes with spun aluminum drum covers.

The cockpit houses a pair of fixed-back bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl upholstery that extends to the dash pad, door panels, shifter boot, and rear parcel shelf. The parking brake handle is mounted below the dashboard, and additional interior elements include black square-weave carpeting, Coco mats, a wind deflector, Crow Enterprizes latch-and-link lap belts, an adjustable height rearview mirror, and a hidden Bluetooth stereo linked to 5.25″ and 6×9″ speakers, a subwoofer and Rockford Fosgate amplifiers.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel wears a Porsche crest horn button and frames a central tachometer flanked by a 130-mph speedometer and a combination gauge monitoring engine temperature and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 20k miles, approximately 15k of which have been added under current ownership.

The air-cooled 1,915cc flat-four is said to be equipped with an Engle 110 camshaft in addition to dual EMPI carburetors, a 009-style distributor, and a sidewinder-style center-exit exhaust system with heater boxes. An oil change and valve adjustment were performed in May 2024. An oil leak is present.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle that has reportedly been modified with a “Freeway Flyer” gearset with a 3.88:1 ring and pinion.

The chassis number 5210842 shown above is consistent with a 1963 Volkswagen Beetle and matches the VIN on the current California title which describes the car as a 1963 Specially Constructed Vehicle (SPCN).
