This 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III is finished in red with black side coves over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six paired linked to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a black convertible soft top, boot, and tonneau cover in addition to 15″ wire wheels, front disc brakes, dual SU carburetors, a stainless-steel exhaust system, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, Smiths instrumentation, and chrome bumpers with overriders. A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 46k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. The tachometer was converted to solid state in 2023.
The 2.9-liter inline-six is equipped with dual SU carburetors and an aftermarket cooling fan. The carburetors were rebuilt and the spark plugs, points, and condenser were replaced in 2023.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with an electronically actuated overdrive unit. The transmission and clutch were replaced in 2015 along with installing a stainless-steel exhaust system.
