This 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible was acquired by the seller in 2002 and is said to have been in storage for the past 15 years. The car is finished in white over red leather and is powered by a 289ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ steel wheels, power steering, an AM radio, and a cabin heater. The convertible top is missing and the brakes and tires need to be serviced. This Galaxie 500 project is now offered at no reserve with the owner’s manual and a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.
The car was finished at the factory in Wimbledon White (M) and has a non-functional hood scoop, dual side mirrors, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers and trim. There is no convertible top, and an area of missing paint on the right-side door and blemishes around the car are shown in the gallery below.
White-finished 15″ steel wheels have corrosion and wear styled covers, and they are mounted with an older set of tires that needs to be replaced. The car is equipped with power steering and a brake booster, but the brakes do not work.
The seating surfaces are trimmed in Red leather, and interior equipment includes an AM radio, front lap belts, and a cabin heater. Wear is present on interior surfaces, the door armrests are damaged, and the dash lenses are shattered. Aftermarket power windows were installed under previous ownership, but they do not work. The dimmer switch and turn signals are also inoperative.
The steering wheel wears an aftermarket cover and fronts a sweeping 120-mph speedometer and a quartet of auxiliary gauges. A pair of aftermarket gauges are housed underneath the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 52k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 289ci V8 was factory rated at 200 horsepower. The battery and fuel pump were replaced in preparation for the sale, and the seller notes that the carburetor needs to be rebuilt.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Rust is present on the fuel tank and additional underbody components.
