This 2001 BMW Z8 is a Canadian-market example that was purchased by its current owner in 2012 and has 24k kilometers (~15k miles) following registration history in Ontario and British Columbia. It is finished in Jet Black over black Nappa leather, and it is powered by a 4.9-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Features include a black soft top, a removable hardtop, 18” split-spoke wheels, a front shock tower brace, xenon headlights, heated power-adjustable sport seats, a six-disc CD changer, a Harman Kardon sound system, navigation, and air conditioning. This Z8 is now offered in Canada on dealer consignment with a BMW-branded car cover, a convertible top boot, a wind deflector, a clean Carfax report, and British Columbia registration.

The Z8 features bodywork designed by Henrik Fisker with inspiration from the BMW 507 roadster, and the aluminum body panels are mounted over an aluminum spaceframe. This example is finished in Jet Black (668) and features a black soft top as well as a removable hardtop. Additional equipment includes xenon headlights with washers as well as polished mirror caps, a soft top boot, dual exhaust outlets, neon taillights and turn indicators, and front fender air extractors with BMW roundels. The front bumper cover was reportedly repainted in 2009, and photos in the gallery detail damage along its lower edge.

The 18” split-spoke wheels are mounted with older Bridgestone Potenza RE040 tires. The four-wheel disc brake system is equipped with Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), and additional features include Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and All-Season Traction (ASC). The front shock tower brace was reportedly added in February 2021. Power steering fluid leaks are noted by the selling dealer.

The cabin features black Nappa leather upholstery that extends from the heated power-adjustable seats to the center console and door panels. The dash upholstery was reportedly replaced in February 2021. Amenities include a six-disc CD changer, navigation, a Harman Kardon sound system, leather-wrapped roll hoops, air conditioning, cruise control, and a wind deflector. Two CD changer cassettes and a BMW Motorola car phone are included in the sale.

The banjo-spoke steering wheel features silver trim within a leather-wrapped rim. Centrally mounted instrumentation includes a 260-km/h speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer with an integrated analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 24k kilometers (~15k miles), approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.9-liter S62 V8 was shared with the contemporary E39 M5 and features double-VANOS variable valve timing for a factory-rated output of 394 horsepower and 368 lb-ft torque. The fuel pump was reportedly replaced in February 2021, and work in June 2024 included an oil change and replacing accessory belts.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The differential fluid was changed in February 2021, and the transmission fluid was changed in June 2024. Broken edges are evident on the engine undertray.

The Carfax report is free from accidents or other reported damage.

The vehicle does not have a title and is being sold on its British Columbia registration, which serves as the ownership document in British Columbia, Canada.
