This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette was sold new from Malcolm Konner Chevrolet of Paramus, New Jersey, and is powered by a 327ci V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a PosiTraction rear axle with 4.11:1 gears. It is finished in Honduras Maroon and equipped with a white soft top, a split rear bumper, and 15″ steel wheels with simulated knock-off spinner covers. The cabin is outfitted with black vinyl upholstery covering the bucket seats along with a reverse-lockout shifter and a Wonder Bar radio. The car was repainted in 1991 and acquired by the current owner in 2013. This C1 Corvette is offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with initial sales documentation, an NCRS award, and a clean Illinois title in the current owner’s name.

The car left the factory finished in Honduras Maroon and was repainted in the same shade in 1991. Details include a white soft top, quad headlights, and polished bumpers and trim. Close-up photos of the paint and trim are provided in the gallery.

The 15″ steel wheels feature simulated knock-off spinner covers and are mounted with reproduction Firestone white-stripe tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums.

The bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl and joined by color-coordinated carpets and door panels. Interior equipment includes a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a Wonder Bar radio, a reverse-lockout shifter, and an analog clock.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,600-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 44k miles.

The 327ci V8 was factory equipped with a single four-barrel carburetor and a high-lift camshaft for a rating of 340 horsepower when new. Details include a chrome ignition cover and air cleaner lid along with finned Corvette-script valve covers.

The engine stamp pad is displayed above. The RE suffix is consistent with a 327ci V8 rated at 340 horsepower and designated for a 1962 Corvette with a four-barrel carburetor, a high-lift camshaft, and a manual transmission.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission and a PosiTraction limited-slip differential with 4.11:1 gears.

Initial sales documentation, an NCRS award, and an owner’s manual are included in the sale.
