This 1960 Chevrolet Corvette was refurbished under previous ownership after reportedly sitting in storage from 1973 to 1991. It is finished in white over red vinyl and powered by a 283ci V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a white convertible soft top, 15″ steel wheels, an AM radio, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The current owner acquired the car in 2018, and the front suspension was rebuilt in preparation for the sale. This C1 is now offered on dealer consignment with service records, refurbishment photos, an owner’s manual, a car show display board, and a transferable New York registration.

The car is finished in white and is believed to have been refinished, and the rear bumpers are said to have been re-chromed. Exterior equipment includes a white convertible soft top, quadruple headlights, split chrome bumpers, fender vents, and dual exhaust outlets. A crack in the right fender was repaired during the refurbishment, and there is presently a paint chip near the left headlight trim as well as a scratch and a bent piece of chrome molding on the right front fender.

The 15″ steel wheels feature spinner-style covers and are wrapped in Firestone Deluxe Champion-branded whitewall tires measuring 6.70-15. The car came equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension and semi-elliptical rear leaf springs. The front suspension was rebuilt in preparation for the sale.

The cabin features two bucket seats reupholstered in red vinyl, and the dash pad and carpeting were also replaced. Equipment includes a passenger grab bar, an AM radio, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. A tear in the driver’s seat is shown up close in the gallery.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery charge, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 59k miles, approximately 614 of which were added under current ownership.

The 283ci V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 230 horsepower.

The stamping on the engine pad is shown above. The CQ suffix is consistent with a 283ci V8 rated at 230 horsepower and designated for a 1960 Corvette with a four-barrel carburetor and a manual transmission.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission. The mufflers were replaced in September 2017. Additional underside photos are shown in the gallery below.

Photos showing the car’s previous condition and refurbishment are shown in the gallery.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its registration.
