This 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle convertible is powered by an air-cooled 1,584cc flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle and is finished in red with a black convertible soft top over gray cloth upholstery. Equipment includes 15″ steel wheels, drum brakes, MacPherson strut and coil spring front suspension, a retro-style radio, hand-crank windows, dual side-view mirrors, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The car was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024 and currently shows 97k miles. This 1302 Super Beetle convertible is now offered at no reserve with a repair manual and New Hampshire registration.

The car was repainted red circa 2000 and features a black convertible soft top, a fresh air vent hood scoop, dual side-view mirrors, dual “pea shooter” exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers with overriders.

Steel 15″ wheels wear chrome VW-stamped hubcaps and are mounted with 165/80 Kumho tires. The car was factory equipped with a MacPherson strut and coil spring front suspension in place of the standard Beetle’s torsion bar setup. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes at all four corners.

The front bucket seats and the rear bench are trimmed in gray cloth upholstery and are joined by a black dashboard pad, door panels, and carpeting. Interior elements include a retro-style radio, a lockable glove compartment, a wooden shift knob, and hand-crank windows. The dashboard pad is cracked and the radio trim is missing.

The four-spoke steering wheel features a Wolfsburg crest center cap and fronts a 90-mph speedometer with an inset fuel-level gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 97k miles, a handful of which have been added under current ownership. The tachometer is inoperative.

The air-cooled 1,584cc (AE) flat-four was factory equipped with a single downdraft carburetor topped by an oil bath air cleaner.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its registration.
