This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was refurbished under prior ownership with work that included a repaint in white as well as installation of a replacement 327ci V8. Additional equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, a white convertible soft top, red leather upholstery, air conditioning, an AM/FM radio, 15″ turbine wheels, and concealed headlights. The owner purchased the car in 2010, and work under current ownership has included replacement of the windshield and soft top. This C2 Corvette convertible is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with an owner’s manual, service records, and an Oklahoma title in the owner’s name.
The fiberglass body is finished in Ermine White and features a white convertible soft top as well as flip-up headlamps, fender vents, and dual exhaust outlets exiting through the rear valance. The windshield and soft top were replaced in 2010. Paint chips and imperfections are pictured in the gallery below.
The 15″ turbine wheels are mounted with 205/75 front and 215/75 rear Michelin X-Radial tires. The C2 Corvette was designed with fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. This example is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by four-wheel drums.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in red leather as well as coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, a heater, an AM/FM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 55k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 327ci V8 is topped with a four-barrel carburetor and accented by a chrome air cleaner lid and ignition cover. The engine was rebuilt under prior ownership, and the seller notes an oil leak.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
