This 1952 MG TD/C Mark II is powered by a 1,250cc XPAG inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in ivory over tan leather. Features include a tan soft top, silver-finished 15″ steel wheels, hubcaps, Andrex shocks, dual fuel pumps, dual SU carburetors, a louvered hood, a folding windshield, and a woodgrain dashboard. The seller purchased the car in Texas in December 2023. This TD/C Mark II is now offered with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in ivory-colored paint, and features include a tan folding soft top, a louvered hood, a folding windshield, fender-mounted side mirrors, running boards, and chrome bumpers with overriders. Scratches in the paint and other imperfections are pictured in the gallery below, and the windshield-wiper motor does not work.
Silver-finished 15″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with 165/80 Kumho Power Star tires, which the seller states should be replaced due to age. A spare wheel and tire are affixed to the rear. Braking is handled by drums at each corner, and the car has Mark II–specific Andrex friction shocks.
The cabin houses a split bench seat trimmed in tan leather. Appointments include a woodgrain dashboard, map pockets in the doors, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. Interior wear is shown in the gallery.
The banjo-style steering wheel is attached to an adjustable column and frames Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 100-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock as well as auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 36k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership; true mileage is unknown.
The 1,250cc XPAG inline-four was equipped from the factory with dual SU carburetors and dual fuel pumps. Pancake-style air cleaners are finished in chrome. The engine oil and filter were changed in early 2024.
The engine stamping shown above matches the number displayed on the identification placard affixed to the firewall.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Corrosion is visible on underbody components.
The data plate shows a car number of TDC11593. The Texas title cites a VIN based on the engine number TD2LHX12086.
