This 1998 BMW M Roadster is finished in Estoril Blue over Estoril Blue and black Nappa leather and is powered by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The selling dealer has reportedly bought and sold the car three times since 2005, and it now has under 71k miles following history in the Carolinas and Virginia. Equipment includes silver-finished 17″ Style 40 wheels, a limited-slip differential, a dark blue convertible soft top, heated sport seats, a Pioneer CD stereo, and a Harman Kardon sound system linked with an A/D/S/ amplifier and Boston Acoustics crossovers. This M Roadster is now offered in North Carolina by the selling dealer with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, early service records, accessories, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Virginia title.

This M Roadster is one of 478 finished in Estoril Blue over Estoril Blue and black Nappa leather for the North American market for the model year. Features include a power-operated dark blue convertible soft top, a luggage rack, front fender vents, and quad exhaust outlets.

Silver-finished 17″ Style 40 wheels are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus tires said to have been installed in March 2022. The car’s  braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs.

The cabin features Estoril Blue and black Nappa leather covering the heated sport seats, door panel inserts, and center console. Amenities include roll hoops, air conditioning, cruise control, side-impact airbags, a Pioneer CD stereo, and a Harman Kardon sound system linked with an A/D/S/ amplifier and Boston Acoustics crossovers. An A/D/S/-branded button has been added to the center stack, and the selling dealer states that an aftermarket subwoofer is installed. They also report that the passenger seatbelt retainer clip and seat track bushings have been replaced. The driver’s seat outer bolster is worn and the center stack trim is cracked near the air-conditioning switch.

The M-branded leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 160-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates under 71k miles.

The 3.2-liter S52B32 inline-six features VANOS variable valve timing and was factory rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. The selling dealer states that the battery was replaced in February 2024, and the crankshaft position sensor was replaced in May 2024.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The clutch disc, pressure plate, flywheel, and release bearing were reportedly replaced in September 2022.

The window sticker notes initial delivery to Fowler BMW in Conway, South Carolina, and lists factory equipment, colors, options, and a total suggested retail price of $43,155. Manufacturer’s literature, a fuel log, early service records, and other accessories are also included in the sale.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
