This 1965 Imperial Crown convertible was acquired by the seller in 2009 and subsequent work consisted of installing a replacement 413ci V8, overhauling the three-speed automatic transmission, re-coring the radiator, and adding a dual master cylinder. Finished in silver over black vinyl upholstery, the car is equipped with a power-operated black soft top, side pinstripes, power steering, power brakes, 15″ steel wheels, Imperial wheel covers, and etched-glass headlight covers. The cabin is outfitted with power windows, an analog clock, Equus auxiliary instrumentation, aftermarket speakers, and a Sony CD stereo. This Imperial Convertible is now offered at no reserve with a New Hampshire registration certificate.

The car is finished in silver and is said to have been repainted under prior ownership. Etched-glass headlight covers are integrated into the grille, and additional details include a power-operated black convertible soft top, a hood ornament, a wrap-around windshield, chrome bumpers and side trim, and dual exhaust outlets. The convertible top is worn and paint and body blemishes are displayed in the gallery. The seller notes that a body repair was performed on the passenger rear quarter panel.

Steel 15″ wheels wear polished Imperial-branded covers and are mounted with white-stripe tires. The right front tire leaks air. The car is equipped with power steering as well as power-assisted drum brakes at all four corners. The seller notes that the brakes require service and an aftermarket vacuum booster has been fitted.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl and joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Other details include woodgrain dashboard trim, a tilting steering column, six-way power-adjustable front seats, fold-down rear armrests, power windows, Imperial-branded doorsills, aftermarket speakers, and a Sony CD stereo. The windows operate intermittently, the air conditioning does not work, and the cardboard liner is missing from the glovebox.

A column-mounted shifter replaced the push-button shifter for the 1965 model year, and factory instrumentation includes a ribbon-style 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and a five-digit odometer that shows 88k miles. Equus auxiliary instrumentation is located beneath the dashboard. Approximately 20k miles were added under current ownership and the total mileage is unknown.

The 413ci V8 was reportedly replaced and remanufactured cylinder heads are said to have been fitted under current ownership. The radiator was re-cored under current ownership.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, which was reportedly overhauled in 2017. The seller states that the transmission takes time to pump up when the car is initially started. The shift cables and mufflers were replaced under current ownership.

The fender tag indicates that the vehicle is a Chrysler-built Imperial Crown Convertible equipped with a 413ci V8 along with a TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The tag also reveals that the car was originally finished in Silver Mist metallic paint (NN1) and was scheduled to be built on January 11th.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age. It is being sold on its New Hampshire registration.
