This 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera cabriolet is a European-market example that was imported from Germany to the US in 1986, and it was purchased by the seller in 2009. The car is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a 915 five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Garnet Red Metallic over Burgundy leather upholstery. Equipment includes 16″ BBS wheels, a limited-slip differential, rear fog lights, a rear spoiler, power-adjustable front sport seats, a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, and cruise control. This Carrera cabriolet is offered with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, import documents, manufacturer’s literature, and a South Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The car was finished from the factory Garnet Red Metallic and was refinished in July 2012. Exterior details include a replacement black soft top, a black convertible top boot, rear fog lights, amber corner lights, a rear spoiler, and heated power-adjustable side mirrors. An August 1995 entry on the Carfax report lists an accident with no additional information. There is a crack in the vinyl of the top bow, and close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.

The 16″ BBS wheels with gold centers have curb marks and are mounted with Pirelli Cinturato tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The seller recommends an alignment.

The cabin features power-adjustable front sport seats upholstered in Burgundy leather. Amenities include Blaupunkt cassette stereo, cruise control, and power windows and locks. The seller notes that the air conditioning does not blow cold and the passenger side soft top lock bezel is broken.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a Quarz clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 103k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer was replaced in 1986 when federalized. Total mileage is unknown.

The 3.2-liter M930/21 flat-six was factory rated at 202 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. Work performed under current ownership is said to have included replacing the push-rod tubes, fuel pump, and distributor cap and rotor. There is flaking paint on the cooling fan.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential.

The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows factory colors, options, and equipment.

The Carfax report lists the aforementioned August 1995 accident.

The South Carolina title carries an “Antique” brand.
