This Beck Speedster is a replica of a 1957 Porsche 356A Speedster that remained with its initial owner until 2014 and spent time in Idaho before being relocated to Arizona by the seller in 2022. It is powered by an air-cooled 1,915cc flat-four that is fitted with dual Weber carburetors and paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. The fiberglass body is finished in burgundy and features a tan convertible soft top and tonneau cover, while the interior is trimmed in tan upholstery and incorporates a wood-rimmed steering wheel, Coco mats, an analog clock, and USB charging outlets. Additional details include 15″ chrome wheels, Kumho tires, front disc brakes, and an adjustable front axle beam. This Speedster replica is now offered with two sets of side windows, spare parts and accessories, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name describing it as a 1957 VW 356A.

The burgundy-finished fiberglass body was manufactured by Chamonix of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is mounted to a fabricated tube-frame chassis. Exterior details include a tan soft top and tonneau cover as well as gold-finished Porsche and Speedster badging, teardrop taillights, and body-color bumpers with rub strips. Wear is noted on the weatherstripping along with blemishes on the exhaust tip and bottom of the bumper. Paint protection film has been applied to the front of the car.

Chrome 15″ steel wheels wear matching hubcaps with full-color Porsche crests and are mounted with 165/80 Kumho Power Star 758 tires, and a matching spare is housed in the front trunk. The car rides on an adjustable front axle beam, and stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.

The fixed-back bucket seats are trimmed in tan upholstery that extends to the dashboard pad, door panels, and shifter boot. Interior elements include tan carpeting, Coco mats, a height-adjustable rearview mirror, an analog clock, and USB charging outlets. Wear is present on the driver’s seat upholstery.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel wears a Porsche crest horn button and frames a centrally-mounted tachometer, a 200-km/h speedometer, and a combination gauge for engine temperature and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 13k kilometers (~8k miles). The trip odometer does not work.

The air-cooled 1,915cc flat-four features dual Weber carburetors, an electric fuel pump, and a 009-style distributor. The spark plugs and rocker studs were replaced in May 2023 and an oil change was performed in April 2024.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle that has reportedly been modified with a “Freeway Flyer” gearset with a 3.88:1 ring and pinion. The Bowden tube and clutch cable were replaced in 2023.

Two sets of side windows, a tonneau cover, a boot cover, a car cover, rally stopwatches with mounting hardware, service records, and spare parts are included in the sale.

The current Arizona title lists the car as a 1957 VW 356A.
