This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a 427ci L72 V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is refinished in maroon over black leather. A refurbishment was completed in 2014, and the car subsequently received NCRS Top Flight honors. Features include a Positraction differential, a black convertible soft top, 15″ Turbine-style aluminum wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, a cabin heater, an AM/FM radio, and side-exit exhaust outlets. This C2 was acquired by the selling dealer in 2022 and is now offered with NCRS awards, refurbishment photos, and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The fiberglass body was finished at the factory in Milano Maroon and refinished under previous ownership. The 15″ Turbine-style aluminum wheels feature knock-off spinners and are mounted with 205 /70 BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial-branded tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The reupholstered cabin features two bucket seats with headrests upholstered in black leather as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, an AM/FM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a telescopic column and frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 529 miles, approximately 150 of which were added under current ownership.
The 427ci L72 V8 was factory rated at 425 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque and features side-exit exhaust outlets.
