This 1961 Autobianchi Bianchina Trasformabile was acquired by the seller’s grandfather in 1969 and was subsequently taken off the road and disassembled as part of a planned refurbishment. It is finished in primer and powered by a replacement 479cc inline-twin equipped with a single Weber downdraft carburetor. Shifting is through a four-speed manual transaxle, and the interior houses seats trimmed in tan vinyl. The car is described as a running project that requires paint and bodywork along with installation of a replacement foldable soft top. This Bianchina project is now offered with spare and removed parts as well as expired New York State registration in the name of the seller’s grandfather.

Based on the contemporary Fiat 500, the Bianchina was produced by Autobianchi from 1957 through 1970 in various bodystyles. The Trasformabile featured a fixed roof profile with a retractable canvas soft top, and this example is equipped with rear-hinged doors as well as a vented engine cover. The paint has been stripped and the bodywork is finished in primer. The foldable soft top, glass, and various trim pieces have been removed.

Blue-painted 12″ steel wheels are mounted with older Pirelli tires. The car rides on an independent suspension comprised of a transverse-leaf setup at the front paired with trailing arms and coil springs out back.

The front bucket seats wear tan covers with white accents and piping, and color-coordinate trim extends to the rear bench as well as the door and side panels. The cabin is not fitted with carpets.

A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a Veglia instrument cluster that includes a 70-mph speedometer with suggested shift points flanked by a fuel-level gauge and warning lights. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 31k miles.

Power is provided by a replacement 479cc inline-twin that is said to have been sourced from a 1959 model. It is fed by a single Weber downdraft carburetor, though a portion of the air intake is missing.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. The seller notes rust on various underside components.

A collection of spare parts including the removed engine is included in the sale.

The car is being offered by the seller on behalf of an estate.
