This 1971 Jaguar XKE Series III roadster is finished in red over black leather and powered by a 5.3-Liter V12 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, knock-off wire wheels, an AM/FM radio, and quadruple carburetors. The car remained registered to its prior owner from 1972 until 2024. This XKE is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner, a licensed retail dealer in Washington, with manufacturer’s literature and a clean Washington title.

The car is finished in red and was repainted some time ago and fitted with a replacement black convertible top. Features include a black top boot, uncovered headlights, a louvered hood, US-spec bumpers, and quadruple exhaust outlets.

The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with knock-off spinners and are mounted with older 215/70 Dunlop Elite Seventy whitewall tires. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The seller notes the shocks should be replaced.

The bucket seats are upholstered in black leather, and the cabin features color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include an AM/FM radio, a locking glovebox, and a heater.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 37k miles.

The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 241 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque when new. The spark plugs and distributor cap and rotor were replaced within the last few months. The seller notes rust around the battery.

Power is delivered to rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

Manufacturer’s literature and an original purchase agreement are included in the sale.
