This 1951 MG TD is finished in burgundy over tan leather and is powered by a 1,250cc XPAG inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a tan soft top, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, a louvered hood, chrome bumpers, driving lights, Brooklands-style windscreens, and fender-mounted side mirrors. The car was refurbished some time ago and acquired the current owner in 2017. This TD is now offered in Maryland on dealer consignment with a top boot, side curtains, and a clean West Virginia title.
The car has been repainted burgundy, and features include a tan folding soft top, a louvered hood, Lucas tripod headlights, Moss Motors driving lights, fender-mounted side mirrors, running boards, wind wings, a badge bar, a folding windshield, Brooklands-style windscreens, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with Bridgestone SF-402 tires measuring 165/80. A spare wheel and tire are affixed to the rear. Braking is handled by drums at each corner.
The cabin was refurbished some time ago and houses a split bench seat trimmed in tan leather. Amenities include a passenger-side grab handle, map pockets, lap belts, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror.
The wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel is mounted on an adjustable column and frames Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 100-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 3,500 miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 1,250cc XPAG inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors and was factory rated at 54 horsepower.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
