This 1980 MG MGB roadster is finished in red with side stripes over black upholstery and is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission that was installed under previous ownership. The bucket seats are upholstered in black and are joined by color-coordinated trim on the door panels. Interior appointments include MG-branded floor mats, cupholders, a heater, and a Sony Bluetooth stereo linked to aftermarket speakers.
The MOMO steering wheel fronts a tachometer accompanied by an 85-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 56k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The 1.8-liter inline-four was factory equipped with a single Stromberg carburetor. Service in 2024 included flushing the coolant, cleaning the intake manifold and throttle cable, and replacing the water choke gasket, spark plugs, ignition coil, distributor and rotor, vacuum line, and valve cover gasket.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission that was installed under previous ownership. A replacement exhaust system has been fitted, and additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
