This 1997 Ferrari F355 Spider was specified in Rosso Corsa over Tan Connolly leather, and it was purchased by the seller in September 2009. Power is supplied by a 3.5-liter DOHC V8 linked with a gated six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential, and features include a black soft top, 18″ five-spoke magnesium wheels, sport seats, a gated shifter, and drilled aluminum pedals. This F355 Spider is now offered with a car cover, the removed factory radio, and a clean District of Columbia title in the seller’s name.
The Pininfarina-designed body is finished in Rosso Corsa, and styling elements include integrated front fog lights, an integrated rear decklid spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, a vented engine cover, and air intakes on the doors and rocker panels. The windshield was replaced and paintwork was performed on the hood, left-front fender, and headlight covers in 2012. The left headlight do not pop up, the soft top lifter does not work, scratches are visible on the front valance, and cracks are noted on the rocker panels.
The 18″ five-spoke magnesium wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires, which show date codes from 2007. Curb marks are evident on the wheels. Ferrari-branded brake calipers are mounted over ventilated discs at each corner.
The cabin features sport seats trimmed in Tan Connolly leather, and matching leather extends to the center console, door panel inserts, and lower half of the dashboard. Amenities include a gated shifter and drilled aluminum pedals. The stereo has been removed, shrunken leather is evident on the dash, and the air conditioning system does not work. Wear is visible on the driver’s seat, rust is evident on the driver’s door sill, and the seller notes that the brake pedal feels soft.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. Ancillary instruments in the center stack include an analog clock and gauges for fuel level and oil temperature. The airbag alert illuminates intermittently. The six-digit odometer shows 18k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 3.5-liter DOHC V8 features five valves per cylinder and dry-sump lubrication for a factory-rated output of 375 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes that an engine-out belt service was last completed in 2008. Work in January 2024 included an oil change and replacing the alternator. The seller states that two of the spark plugs were also replaced at that time.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.
