This 1955 MG TF 1500 is a right-hand-drive model that was initially produced for the U.K. market, and it was refurbished approximately three decades ago. Work at that time included removing the body from the frame, a repaint in green, and rebuilding the 1.5-liter XPEG inline-four. Shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes a beige soft top, side curtains, 15″ wire-spoke wheels, knock-off hubs, green leather upholstery, and a folding windshield. This TF 1500 was purchased by the seller within the last year, and it is now offered with literature, historical photographs, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

Finished from the factory in Mid Green (E), the body was removed from the frame and repainted during the refurbishment. Features include a beige soft top, chrome bumpers, running boards, rear-hinged doors, and a folding windshield. The seller notes a blemish in the paint surrounding the gas cap. A set of side curtains is included in the sale and is housed in a compartment beneath the seats.

The 15″ wire wheels feature knock-off hubs, and a spare is affixed to the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.

The right-hand-drive cabin features low-back bucket seats trimmed in green leather that are complemented by a color-coordinated dash pad and door panels. Additional equipment includes a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a passenger grab handle, and dual dashboard storage compartments.

The banjo-style steering wheel fronts Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 105-mph speedometer with an inset clock, a tachometer, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 4,400 miles, and total mileage is unknown.

The 1.5-liter XPEG inline-four was rebuilt in 1997. A slow oil leak is noted by the seller. A note dated February 2024 lists compression-test readings of 160psi in each cylinder.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.
