This 1961 MG MGA roadster is powered by a replacement 1.8-liter inline-four that is fitted with a Moss Motors supercharger and paired with a Ford T9 five-speed manual transmission. It is finished in Chariot Red with a black convertible soft top, side curtains, and tonneau cover over black leather upholstery. Additional details include a bimini top, driving lights, a rear luggage rack, chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels, Coker Classic whitewall tires, disc brakes, driving lights, wood dashboard trim, and Jeager instrumentation. The car was previously offered on BaT in April 2021 and was acquired by the seller on BaT in January 2022, who displayed it at the Florida Gathering of the Faithful car shows and earned a third-place trophy in 2023 and a second-place award in 2024. This MGA roadster was offered by the seller on BaT in May 2024 and is now offered at no reserve with service records, car show awards, tools, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Chariot Red (RD16) with a black convertible soft top, side curtains, tonneau cover, and bimini top. Additional exterior details include driving lights, a front badge bar, wind wings, LED taillight bulbs, a rear luggage rack, and chrome bumpers with overriders.

Chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 165-width Coker Classic wide whitewall tires. A painted spare wheel with a Pirelli tire is housed in the trunk. The car is equipped with an independent front suspension with coil springs and hydraulic dampers as well as a rack-and-pinion steering system. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.

The low-back bucket seats are trimmed in black leather with red piping and are joined by color-coordinated upholstery on the dashboard, door panels, and armrest. Black carpeting lines the footwells, and additional interior elements include a wood shift knob, lap belts, a heater, MG-branded floor mats, and a charging outlet mounted beneath the dashboard. Floor insulation was installed under current ownership.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a wood veneer dashboard that houses Jaeger instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary readouts measuring oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The speedometer and tachometer were reportedly rebuilt under previous ownership by Nisonger Instruments of Mamaroneck, New York. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 5k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.

The 1.8-liter inline-four is a five-main-bearing engine that was sourced from a later-model MGB and reportedly rebuilt in February 202o. It has been fitted with a Moss Motors supercharger, electronic ignition, and an external oil cooler.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Ford T9 five-speed manual transmission.

Car show awards are included in the sale along with service records and tools.
