This 1950 MG TD is a right-hand-drive rest-of-world example that was owned in Switzerland by a person who moved to New Jersey with the car in 1970 and became friends with the current owner. In 1985, the current owner purchased the vehicle and kept it in Virginia before a refurbishment was begun and the car was relocated disassembled to Switzerland, where it was kept in storage in a crate for three years before being returned to New Jersey and a refurbishment was finally begun in earnest in 2008 and completed in 2011. Finished in white over beige leather, the car is powered by a 1,250cc XPAG inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a tan soft top, 15″ steel wheels, hubcaps, driving lights, side mirrors, wind wings, a banjo-style steering wheel, and a wood dashboard. This TD is now offered on dealer consignment with service records from current and prior ownership, a workshop manual, side curtains, a top boot, a tool kit, and a New Jersey title in the owner’s name.
Previously red, the car was repainted in white around 2009 during the aforementioned refurbishment. Features include a replacement tan folding soft top, driving lights, a louvered hood, a folding windshield, windshield-mounted side mirrors, running boards, wind wings, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The front bumper, badge bar, and rear bumper were replaced as part of the refurbishment, and the chrome trim was refinished.
Silver-finished 15″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with Michelin XZX tires that were new in 2008. A spare wheel and tire are affixed to the rear. Braking is handled by drums at each corner.
The refurbished cabin houses a split bench seat trimmed in beige leather. Appointments include a wood dashboard, lap belts, map pockets, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and a glovebox.
The banjo-style steering wheel was replaced as part of the refurbishment. Jaeger instrumentation consists of a 105-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 3k miles; true mileage is unknown.
The 1,250cc XPAG inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors and was factory rated at 54 horsepower.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The data plate describes the car as an EXR model—a right-hand-drive TD produced for the rest-of-world market with speedometer units in miles per hour.
The New Jersey title carries a “Mileage Exceeds the Mechanical Limits” notation under the status category.
