This 1999 Mercedes-Benz SLK230 Kompressor is powered by a supercharged 2.3-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission and is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over Salsa and Charcoal leather. Specified from the factory with the optional Sport Package featuring revised bodywork and 17″ AMG five-spoke wheels, the car is further equipped with a Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, and heated seats. The car is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744), and the optional Sport Package added revised bumper covers and side sills along with integrated projector-beam fog lights. Additional exterior features include headlamp washers, heated and power-adjustable side mirrors, and a heated rear window. An AMG badge has been added to the trunklid in place of the factory Kompressor badge. The hydraulic cylinders for the power-retractable hardtop were replaced in April 2024.
The 17″ AMG five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires. The car is equipped with an independent front and rear multilink suspension as well as Automatic Slip Control (ASR). Stopping power is provided by four-wheel ventilated discs.
The six-way manually adjustable seats are heated and upholstered in Salsa and Charcoal leather. Faux carbon-fiber trim accents the cabin, and amenities include a Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, roll bar hoops, and auto-dimming mirrors. Wear is visible on the head unit.
The four-spoke steering wheel is wrapped in leather and frames silver-dial instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 28k miles. The Carfax report notes a mileage inconsistency in a February 2013 entry.
The supercharged 2.3-liter inline-four was factory rated at 185 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. Work in April 2024 included replacing the mass airflow sensor, relay module, fuel pump, spark plugs, and ignition coils and wires along with changing the oil.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
