This 1960 Chevrolet Corvette was refinished in maroon and fitted with a replacement 283ci V8 under previous ownership. Features include a black vinyl interior, a four-speed manual transmission, dual four-barrel carburetors, a removable body-color hardtop, 15″ steel wheels, windshield washers, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. This C1 was acquired by the seller in 2022 and is now offered in Connecticut with transferable New York registration in the seller’s name.
The car was refinished in maroon with white coves, reportedly around 2010. Exterior equipment includes a removable body-color hardtop, windshield washers, quadruple headlights, split chrome bumpers, fender vents, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 15″ steel wheels feature spinner-style covers and are mounted with 205/75 Coker wide whitewall radial tires. The car came equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension and semi-elliptical rear leaf springs.
The cabin features two bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl along with a color-coordinated dashboard topper, carpets, and door panels. Equipment includes an analog clock and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The Wonder Bar AM radio does not work.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery charge, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 283ci V8 is equipped with dual four-barrel carburetors and finned aluminum valve covers.
