This 1962 Triumph TR4 was refurbished around 2014, and its four-cylinder engine was rebuilt to displace 2.2 liters. Refinished in metallic blue over black vinyl upholstery, the car features a four-speed manual transmission, dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, an exhaust header, a black convertible top, Panasport 15″ wheels, sway bars, fender-mounted mirrors, a wood dashboard fascia, and a banjo-style steering wheel. This TR4 was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024 and is now offered in Maryland with a Virginia title that lists the model year as 1964.

The Giovanni Michelotti–designed body is said to have been repainted in metallic blue during the aforementioned 2014 refurbishment. Equipment includes a replacement black convertible top, fender-mounted mirrors, a flip-up fuel-filler cap, windshield washers, and bright bumpers with overriders. The seller notes flaws in the paint.

Panasport Racing 15″ aluminum wheels are mounted with 165/80 Kumho Power Star 758 tires. A steel spare with a Goodyear tire is located in the trunk. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and front and rear sway bars have been installed.

The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl. Appointments include a wood dashboard fascia, black carpeting, front lap belts, a heater, a locking glovebox, and door-panel map pockets. Wear is noted in the interior.

The banjo-style steering wheel frames Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer, while gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are located at center dash alongside a Lucas ammeter. The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles, approximately 160 of which were added by the selling dealer; true mileage is unknown.

The inline-four is said to have been modified with 87mm pistons for a displacement of 2,188cc. The engine also reportedly utilizes a “D” camshaft, rejetted dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, a finned valve cover, and exhaust headers and develops a compression ratio of 10.2:1.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

Chassis number CT17225L is appropriate for a TR4 that was built in late 1962, whereas the Virginia title lists the model year as 1964.
