This 1989 Ferrari Mondial T cabriolet was purchased by the current owner in 1994 and now shows 24k miles. The car is powered by a 3.4-liter F119D/G V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Rosso Corsa over beige leather upholstery. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels, a black soft top, a beige top boot cover, a gated shifter, power windows, air conditioning, and an Alpine head unit with Bluetooth connectivity. This Mondial T cabriolet is offered on dealer consignment with manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, spare parts, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The Mondial was designed by Pininfarina, and the T model features body-color bumper covers as well as restyled side air intakes, door handles, and fenders when compared with earlier examples. The car is finished in Rosso Corsa and features a black soft top, a beige top boot cover, pop-up headlights, integrated front fog lights, black lower bodywork, and quadruple exhaust outlets. The selling dealer notes paint chips and scratches around the body, and close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.
The 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels have curb marks and are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact tires. The car is equipped with power steering and an adjustable suspension, while braking is handled by four-wheel vented discs with an anti-lock system. The center caps are cracked.
The four-place cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in beige leather along with a color-coordinated lower dashboard, center console, and door trim. Interior features include a gated shifter, power windows, air conditioning, and an Alpine head unit with Bluetooth connectivity.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 24k miles, approximately 10k of which were added under current ownership.
The longitudinally mounted 3.4-liter F119D/G V8 features two overhead camshafts per cylinder bank, dry-sump lubrication, and Bosch Motronic digital engine management. It was factory-rated at 300 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. A timing belt service is said to have been completed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
Manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, and spare parts will accompany the sale.
The Carfax report lists at least one open recall. An entry in April 2017 states that the car was designated a gross polluter in California, although the car has since passed California emissions inspections.
