This 1954 Cadillac Series 62 Eldorado is one of 2,150 convertible examples produced for the model year and was refurbished under prior ownership. The car is powered by a 331ci V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in light blue over blue and white leather upholstery. Equipment includes a white soft top, a body-color boot cover, a four-barrel carburetor, 15″ wire wheels, power steering, an egg-crate grille, a Flying Goddess hood ornament, Autronic Eye, power windows, and bench seating. This Series 62 Eldorado was acquired by the selling dealer in Massachusetts in 2023, and it is now offered with service and owner’s manuals, records, and a clean Wisconsin title.
The car is finished in light blue and features a power-operated white soft top and a body-color boot cover along with an egg-crate grille, a Flying Goddess hood ornament, a curved windshield, windshield washers, vertical tailfins, stone guards, a fuel filler concealed under the left taillight, and dual exhaust outlets exiting through the rear bumper. The wipers operate slowly.
Chrome 15″ wire wheels are mounted with Firestone Deluxe Champion wide-whitewall tires. Braking is handled by drums at each corner, and the car came equipped from the factory with power steering. Servicing in winter 2023 is said to have included rebuilding the brake master cylinder and booster as well as replacing the wheel cylinders.
The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in blue leather with white inserts, and they are joined by a blue dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Appointments include an Autronic Eye headlight dimmer, power windows, an analog clock, and Eldorado-branded sill plates. The AM radio does not work.
The blue and white steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a 110-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 11k miles, approximately 200 of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.
The 331ci V8 was factory rated at 230 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. The fuel tank was replaced and the carburetor was rebuilt in 2019, and an oil change was performed in March 2023.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission.
