This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in silver over black upholstery. The car was refurbished circa 2015 and was acquired by the current owner in 2018. Equipment includes a black convertible soft top, 15″ turbine-style wheels, an AM radio, and concealed headlights. This C2 convertible is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean Ohio title.

The fiberglass body left the factory finished in Sebring Silver (941) and was repainted under prior ownership. It is equipped with a replacement black soft top, flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance.

Turbine-style 15″ wheels wear three-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with BFGoodrich tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.

The cabin houses two bucket seats that have been re-trimmed in black and are complemented by replacement carpets. Appointments include a heater, an AM radio, and an analog clock.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames an inoperative 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 67k miles, approximately 150 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 327ci L84 V8 has been equipped with a carburetor in place of the Rochester mechanical fuel injection unit. The choke requires service.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The engine stamping is shown above, and the RF suffix corresponds with a 360-horsepower, 327ci V8 for use with a manual transmission.

Decoding the trim tag reveals:

  • Style 63-867 – 1963 Corvette convertible
  • Body 1192 – Body number
  • Trim BLK – Black upholstery
  • Paint 941 – Sebring Silver
