This 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce is a black-over-beige example that is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission and was initially delivered to Prestige Imports in Pleasantville, New York. The car was optioned with a limited-slip differential, a removable hardtop, a black soft top, 15″ 12-hole alloy wheels, a cassette stereo, and power windows. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2023, and work under current ownership consisted of overhauling the fueling system, rebuilding the instrument cluster, and replacing the engine and transmission mounts, exhaust system, intake boot, secondary clutch cylinder, lower ball joints, and spark plugs. This Series 4 Spider is now offered in North Carolina by the selling dealer with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, a tonneau cover, a tool kit, partial service records, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Minnesota title.
The Series 4 Spider received an exterior refresh with color-matched bumpers and a revised tail with integrated wrap-around taillights. The Pininfarina-designed bodywork of this example is finished in Onyx Black and has a black soft top, a removable hardtop, and a power antenna.
Silver-finished 15″ 12-hole alloy wheels are mounted with 195/60 Pirelli P4 Persist tires. Power steering and four-wheel disc brakes were fitted as standard equipment on the Series 4 Spider. Service in March 2024 included replacing the lower ball joints as well as flushing the brake and clutch fluids.
The bucket seats are upholstered in beige leather and suede as well as a color-coordinated lower dashboard, center console, and door panel inserts. Carpeted floor mats line the footwells, and interior appointments include a cassette stereo, a rear parcel shelf, a driver-side airbag, and power windows. The seller states the air conditioning system does not work.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 22k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. A replacement speedometer cable was fitted and the instrument cluster was rebuilt in March 2024. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.0-liter inline-four features Bosch Motronic electronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 120 horsepower and 117 lb-ft of torque. Service since March 2024 included changing the oil as well as replacing the engine and transmission mounts, center muffler, tailpipe, intake boot, secondary clutch cylinder, spark plugs, and the fuel filter, pressure regulator, sock, hoses, pumps, injector seals, and clamps.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Prestige Imports in Pleasantville, New York, along with factory colors, equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $23,485.
