This 1980 MGB Roadster received a British Motor Heritage replacement bodyshell finished in white along with a refurbished black vinyl interior. The car’s black convertible top was replaced along with the brakes, suspension, windshield, dashboard, and wiring harnesses. The 1.8-liter inline-four was overhauled and equipped with dual SU carburetors as well as a stainless-steel exhaust system, and it is coupled to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Further equipment includes Limited Edition GKN 14″ alloy wheels, drilled and slotted front brake rotors, and a Moto-Lita steering wheel. This MGB is now offered at no reserve with service records, spare parts, a car cover, a tool kit, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The British Motor Heritage bodyshell was painted using basecoat/clearcoat white and is said to have received parts from a donor 1980 MGB Limited Edition Roadster. A replacement black soft top with a zip-out rear window is fitted along with black rubber front and rear bumpers, a replacement windshield and frame, and new weatherstripping, headlights, taillights, and turn signal assemblies. Paint chips are noted and matching touch-up paint is included in the sale along with a vinyl top boot.

Limited Edition GKN 14″ alloy wheels are mounted with Dunlop SP20FE tires measuring 185/70. Work reportedly included replacing the front and rear suspension components, rear springs, brake components, brake lines, and parking brake cable. Drilled and slotted Moss Motors Stage 3 front brakes are fitted.

The cabin was reportedly refreshed with new seats trimmed in black vinyl as well as a replacement dashboard, switchgear, interior panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include a center console with storage under the armrest in addition to a locking glove box and leather-covered door caps with white piping. Air conditioning equipment is fitted but the system is incomplete.

The leather-wrapped Moto-Lita steering wheel fronts refurbished instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 344 miles which is said to be the distance traveled since the car was completed.

The 1.8-liter inline-four was overhauled by University Motors of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is fitted with dual SU carburetors, K&N air filters, and a replacement wiring harness, alternator, and starter. The radiator and cooling hoses were replaced and an electric cooling fan is installed as well as a replacement fuel tank, fuel lines, SU fuel pump, battery, and stainless-steel ANSA exhaust system.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and a solid rear axle, both of which were rebuilt at the same time as the engine.

Multiple containers of spare parts are included in the sale along with a new dashboard and five Rostyle steel wheels with older tires.
