This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was acquired by the seller in 1993, and the 5.7-liter LS1 V8 and six-speed manual transmission from a C5 Corvette were installed circa 2000. The power steering, independent rear suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and air conditioning system from the donor car were also utilized. The body was refinished in red, and additional features include a Stinger-style hood, a black soft top, a body-color hardtop, Rally-style wheels, and a side-exit exhaust system in addition to a Hurst shifter, a JVC cassette player, and black upholstery. This C2 is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean Tennessee title.
The car left the factory finished in Rally Red and was repainted as part of the 2000 refurbishment. It has a body-color removable hardtop, a black soft top, retractable headlights, a side-exit exhaust system, and a Stinger-style hood with black accents.
Rally-style 15″ wheels wear chrome trim rings and center caps and are mounted with redline tires. The power steering, independent rear suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes were reportedly sourced from the 2000 Corvette donor car.
The cabin houses bucket seats upholstered in black and complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Appointments include a Hurst shifter, air conditioning, a vertical JVC AM/FM/cassette player, an analog clock, and lap belts.
The woodgrain-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 31k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 sends power to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, both of which were sourced from a 2000 Corvette, per the selling dealer.
