This 1974 Triumph TR6 was refurbished under previous ownership and was acquired by the current owner in 2002. It is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and is finished in light blue over gray tweed upholstery. The car is equipped with a color-matched removable hardtop, front disc brakes, 15″ steel wheels, a luggage rack, a heater, and a CD stereo. Work since 2021 included repairing the distributor and replacing the brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder, oil cooler, high-torque starter, rear springs, and rear drop links. This TR6 is offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a soft top and a clean California title in the owner’s name.
The car was refinished under previous ownership in light blue with Union Jack decals and features a color-matched removable hardtop, a front air dam, a driver mirror, a luggage rack, and US-specification bumpers. Silver 15″ steel wheels feature polished trim rings and are mounted with 205/70 Cooper CS5 tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. The rear springs and drop links were replaced in 2021 and the brake master cylinder was replaced in May 2024.
The front bucket seats are upholstered in gray tweed that extends to the rear parcel area and door panels. Appointments include a cabin heater, a Koa wood dash, a wood shift knob, a locking glovebox, and a Kenwood CD stereo.
The three-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket cover and fronts a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer while gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 30k miles.
The 2.5-liter inline-six was factory rated at 101 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque and features dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. Service in July 2021 consisted of changing the oil, repairing the distributor, replacing the oil cooler, and installing a high-torque starter.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with a J-Type overdrive. The clutch master cylinder was replaced in preparation for the sale.
