This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was purchased by the seller’s late father in 2018, after which it was refinished in red over red vinyl upholstery. The car is powered by a modified 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and it is equipped with a removable hardtop, a white convertible soft top, a stinger-style hood, 15″ turbine wheels, power steering, and concealed headlights. Engine modifications include an aluminum intake manifold, a Holley carburetor, a Speed Pro camshaft, and roller-tip rocker arms. This C2 Corvette convertible was acquired by the seller in 2021 and is now offered with partial service records, a stock 1964 hood, spare parts, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The fiberglass body was originally finished in Ermine White and was refinished in red in 2018. A later big-block stinger-style hood has been installed, and the removed hood will accompany the car along with a removable hardtop. Features include a replacement white convertible soft top as well as flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, and chrome bumperettes.
The reproduction 15″ turbine wheels are mounted with 215/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The car is equipped with a Borgeson power steering gearbox, and braking is handled by four-wheel drums.
The interior has been re-trimmed in red with vinyl upholstery (490AB) and color-matching replacement carpets. A Custom Autosound AM/FM/cassette stereo is installed.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The 327ci V8 was overhauled in 1999 with replacement cast iron cylinder heads with 2.02″ intake valves as well as a Speed Pro camshaft, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and roller-tip rocker arms. An aluminum intake manifold was installed in 2022, and the carburetor was rebuilt in 2023.
The engine stamping includes sequence 4109250, which matches the last six digits of the vehicle’s serial number. The RC suffix corresponds with a 327ci, 250-horsepower V8 for use with a manual transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
